Towns we list in Clwyd

From the larger towns to the smaller places in between, we take on rooflight fitting across Clwyd. The process is the same for a terrace, a farmhouse extension or an industrial unit: details first, written quote second, fitting day third. Remote and island addresses in Wales, where they arise, are covered by arrangement, and we tell you that before quoting.

What's included

Rigid or flexible tube run and joined, with as few bends as possible
Dome fixed and sealed on top of the flashing
Roof opening cut and the flashing fitted to tiles, slates or a flat-roof kit
Rigid or flexible tube — We check whether a rigid tube will fit the route before falling back on a flexible one.
Tube size — We match the tube size to the room and the roof.

Rules that apply in Wales

In Wales, a new rooflight opening generally needs building regulations approval, and a replacement needs either a scheme-registered installer's certificate or a building notice to the council. We are not registered with a scheme, so we use a building notice and show the fee on the quote. Rooflights must meet 2.2 W/m²K and roof windows 1.4 W/m²K. Planning is tighter than in England: rooflights are not permitted development in conservation areas, National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or World Heritage Sites, so we check your address before quoting.

Common questions in Clwyd

How does payment work?

Payment terms are set out on your written quote before you accept it. Depending on the job, that may mean a deposit, stage payments for larger work, or payment on completion. The contract is with S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, part of the S&K Group. Nothing is added without your agreement: if something unexpected comes up, we discuss it and agree any change before carrying on.

Can you fit the sun tunnel I bought online?

Yes, fit-only is one of our core services. Send the product link or spec, photos of the roof and rough sizes, and we can usually price it from those. Before fitting we check the delivery for damage, which should be reported to the seller, plus the size against the opening, the flashing kit and the roof pitch. The product warranty stays with the maker or seller, and our guarantee covers the fitting.

Do you cover Clwyd?

Yes. Fitters travel to addresses in Clwyd and the surrounding districts, including CH and LL postcodes. We do not run an office there; the survey and the fitting happen at your property. A few island and remote postcodes are covered by arrangement; if yours is one, we confirm travel and dates before quoting.
