Towns we list in Gwynedd & Anglesey
From the larger towns to the smaller places in between, we take on rooflight fitting across Gwynedd & Anglesey. The process is the same for a terrace, a farmhouse extension or an industrial unit: details first, written quote second, fitting day third. Remote and island addresses in Wales, where they arise, are covered by arrangement, and we tell you that before quoting.
What we do on the day
- New units fitted, sealed and weathered into the roof covering
- Access, edge protection and fragile-roof covers planned before work starts
- Old units removed, with waste taken off site
- Fragile roofs and rooflights — We treat every rooflight and the roof around it as fragile until we have checked it.
- Glass or polycarbonate — We compare glass and polycarbonate units against the roof, use and budget.
Rules that apply in Wales
Non-domestic rooflight work in Wales follows the Welsh Approved Documents: energy limits for the glazing, fire checks near boundaries and over escape routes, and building control for new openings. Planning depends on the building and its location. We set out the route on your quote.
Common questions in Gwynedd & Anglesey
Can you remove and dispose of the old rooflight?
Yes. Taking out the old unit is part of any replacement job, and it leaves with the rest of the waste unless you ask to keep it. Old domes, glass and frames go through proper waste routes. If removal turns up a rotten kerb or damaged decking, we show you what we have found and agree the repair with you before going any further.
What is included in the price?
The written quote lists it line by line. Typically that covers fitting labour, fixings, sealants, membrane or flashing materials, any upstand work, internal finishing if agreed, and taking away the waste. For supply and fit, the unit itself is included too. Scaffold, lifting gear and any third-party fees, where needed, are shown separately so you can see what each part of the job costs.
What upstand height and roof pitch does commercial rooflight fitting need?
It depends on the product. Manufacturers usually specify a minimum upstand height above the finished roof surface, and a minimum pitch on the glass so rain runs off. We follow the maker's figures for your unit rather than a rule of thumb. If your existing kerb or roof falls short, we explain the options, such as raising the upstand or choosing a unit with built-in pitch.
