Commercial rooflight installation in Lincolnshire

We cover 47 postcode districts across Lincolnshire, and we fit commercial rooflights in all of them. The work itself does not change from one district to the next. A commercial rooflight still needs a correctly sized opening, an upstand or flashing to suit the roof, and sealing that matches the covering. What does change is access: terraced streets, long gardens, steep pitches, tight parking. We price that honestly in the written quote rather than averaging it out across every job.

Towns we list in Lincolnshire

Coverage in Lincolnshire works by postcode, not by distance from an office. Give us the full postcode and we will confirm whether it is standard cover, as it is for most of England, or one of the few remote and island areas handled by arrangement. Either way, you get a written quote before any work is booked, with travel included in the price.

Included in the work

  • Access, edge protection and fragile-roof covers planned before work starts
  • Roof survey of every unit, kerb and the fragile areas around them
  • Old units removed, with waste taken off site
  • Fire performance near boundaries — We check how close the rooflights are to the site boundary and to escape routes.
  • Energy limits for non-domestic roofs — We check new units against the energy limits for non-domestic buildings.

Rules that apply in England

On commercial buildings in England, new rooflights and changes to roof structure go through building control, and replacements in non-dwellings also need building control involvement unless fitted by a scheme-registered installer, which we are not; load-bearing or structural glass always goes through building control. Fire rules matter near boundaries and over escape routes, and smoke vents must be certified to BS EN 12101-2. We confirm the route and the paperwork for your building before work starts.

Common questions in Lincolnshire

Who is responsible for the smoke-control system?

The building's responsible person, duty holder or managing agent, depending on the nation, is responsible for keeping fire safety systems working. Our part is the rooflight and roof work; the controls, detection and commissioning are handled by a smoke-control specialist, and the quote says who does what.

Can you remove and dispose of the old rooflight?

Yes. Taking out the old unit is part of any replacement job, and it leaves with the rest of the waste unless you ask to keep it. Old domes, glass and frames go through proper waste routes. If removal turns up a rotten kerb or damaged decking, we show you what we have found and agree the repair with you before going any further.

Will my new commercial rooflight leak?

A correctly fitted unit should not. Leaks usually trace back to the detail around the frame: an upstand that is too low, a membrane or flashing that is not dressed properly, sealant applied to a damp surface, or water ponding against the kerb. We fit to the maker's instructions and check each of those points. The fitting carries a written workmanship guarantee, with its terms set out on your quote.
